LibDems Consult, Consider and Ignore on Budget       Sutton Council’s ruling Liberal Democrats pride themselves on being a ‘listening council’, but this is a sham according to Sutton’s Conservatives after lambasting the Lib Dems for only receiving a measly 22 replies to their ‘budget consultation’. The exercise, which ended on 25 January, will allegedly help shape the level of council tax for 2008/09 financial year. However local Tories managed to match the entire Lib Dem Council’s consultation in ten minutes flat.
