Local Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, Philippa Stroud, is spearheading the local Conservatives renewed campaign to oppose any Post Office closures locally amid fears that the Spring could see a further round of cuts.

Philippa said, 'Having previously lost the Main Post Office in the High Street, the downgraded replacement in shared premises in Ewell Road was lost last time.

'With the local LibDem MP living in the ward, it was surprising and unfortunate that he was unable to effectively oppose the closure of what is, for many local residents, a key public service. It is vital that our sole remaining sub post office in Upper Mulgrave Road is not targeted this time.'
